Magic Green Sauce

As a huge fan of power bowls, knowing the basis of this sauce will take your food to the next level. This sauce is creamy, citrus-y, and most definitely, the perfect addition to any power bowl. 

The components to remember are:

  • Nut: Cashews, Walnuts
  • Herb: Parsley, Cilantro
  • Citrus: Lemon, Lime

Its just that easy! The best part is, that the sauce will stay that nice bright green for up to a week. Bonus tip is that it even freezes well. 

Im going to share with you my favorite combination, but feel free to mix and match!! Let me know if you find a favorite! 


Green Sauce

Makes ~2.5 cups

  • 1 cup cashews soaked* + water
  • 1/4 cup of olive oil
  • 1 handful parsley roughly chopped
  • 1 lemon juiced
  • Red chili flakes
  • Salt and pepper

Add all the ingredients into a blender

Blend until smooth

Taste here, add additional salt/pepper/lemon juice as needed

Pour into a container and refrigerate for at least 2 hours


Cooking Notes:

*Soaked in water 2 cm above the cashews

If the blender gets stuck, add 1 tbsp of water at a time until the contents move freely

The sauce will come together in the refrigerator and be super creamy and yummy
